Zhuyang’s solo exhibition ‘Clandestine Service’ presents the idea of <HELMETING> .

Helmeting is a concept, it is an experimental project in series of forming, alternative timing between the happenings, etc,

a new world?(word?) ?>?

The exhibition showing:

Part 2. The helmet (2024)

Sound installation- multiple helmets with tattoos and electronics

‘Invisible protection, sonic arsenal, tattooed’ A wearable sound installation featuring motorcycle helmets wrapped with human skins equipped with reversed headphone structures. The helmets create mono-auditory environments listening can be accomplished through shared, collaborative listening, discussing individual user and collective auditory experience, instrument making and tool theory, body autonomy. These devices can be used in daily life, such as transportation, heavy duty work, and can also be used as fashion items etc. The wearer can enjoy different skin at the same time. Feeling so goooooood !!

Part 4. The restroom (2025)

Electric installation, interactive – massage gun, keys, towels and human

‘Clandestine service, massaged’ multiple guns installed on the wall exhausted from their duty of bringing relief. They wait, anticipating interaction, vibrating with a barely audible hum of longing. Nearby, a "secret key", in case the interaction becomes too intense, towels hang invitingly, waiting to mop up the sweat of engagement. The installation is inviting a collaborative soundscape. Each visitor contributes to an evolving symphony, where personal rhythms merge into a collective beat. There’s an irresistible tension between temptation and service, between the tools as objects and instruments of expression. The sensation overtakes you, leaving you rejuvenated, in tune, and just a little closer to healthy harmony, welcome to the restroom!
